Police on rampage towards cargo drivers at Yapei

 Some shipment drivers numbering approximately 80 have accused police in Yapei in the principal Gonja District of the Savannah area of harassment, extortion and abuse.

in keeping with the drivers, some of whom are Burkinabe, the police detained them for refusing to provide GH¢5 bribes when they got to the Yapei barrier.

to them which we refused and told them our files are real but the police handcuffed us and started out beating us,” one driving force told TV3‘s Christopher Amoako in Mossi.
